The "man" strikes again.

Just after new years my bride commented that something is up with her sister. SIL started a flavor of her usual rant about her rights being violated and idiot managers.  SIL has not called DW since just before NY.

On her way home this evening my DW called my MIL to check in.  Their conversation continued into the house for about 15-20 more minutes.  MIL commented that SIL had an interview scheduled for Friday of this week.  DW asked "Isn't she still with Target"... Crickets..................................................  MIL finally responded "No, she got fired."   

Then the usual bullshit about the evil "man" fired her and SIL called a lawyer, which she never does but always says she has called a lawyer about suing her most recent past employer.   The ghost lawyer told SIL that they live in a right to work state ........  

Finally everyone has pretty much just ignored SIL.  Everyone has finally learned her script.  Get fired, find a new job, almost lose the house, get a new job, promises she will keep her mouth shut and just do her job, becomes all things to all people and the "best of the best", crowns all leaders as idiots, knows best what to do and how to do it, alienates her leaders and her coworkers, does something stupid and they fire her.

So, stupid this time was violating the mask policy.  She and a coworker were walking across the warehouse together without masks.  Their masks were in their enclosed air conditioned hight reach fork lift machines.  Supposedly no one told her she was fired. She showed up on Saturday for O/T and was told to she no longer worked there.  

As usual, I called bullshit.  Even MIL said "it is the three year point and she always does this".

Then MIL went into mama bear mode.  They should not be able to fire her for something due to covid, making her wear a mask violates her civil rights (mirroring SIL's bullshit), its not fair, blah, blah, blah.

She has now been fired from nearly all of the appropriate employers for her skill set in a 25-50 mile radius.

Me being at nearly the 24mo of no work mark certainly does not put me on much of a platform for having anything to say about SIL, other than I have never been fired from a job in my life.  I have been hit in reductions in force and industry downturns but never fired for cause.  Even when one or the other of us has been out of work we have never been at risk of losing our home or cars.  We have always been modest in our housing and transportation in relation to our income.  That is why even when out of work we can afford our home and cars and never have missed a payment.

I hope SIL gets something soon.  I do not want my bride going through her usual worry and tears over her sister.

Ughhhhhh.

I'm thinking the mask was just the last straw in a long line of behaviors that made SIL a pain in the a$$ at her job.

Not wearing a mask one time will not get a person fired. She is lying. It's either repeated refusal to wear a mask or she was written up enough for whatever other offenses so it led to dismissal.

Just her usual progression of disruption, instigation, and failure as an employee.  Where she lives decent employers are few and far between
