Showdown
In one of my resent post I told you that SD19 has been driving her friends car without a license and me being torn about should I tell my Husband or not - well - today they whole story solved itself. SD drove up in friends car - saw me coming out the door and pushed the gas pedal through. I simply turned around and told my DH what he just missed. Now SD is sitting here and talking with DH. He confronted her and she doesn't even care. She bluntly told him she doesn't care if she puts him/us into legal trouble if she has an accident.
OMG - I'd so kick her out how can she talk like that to her father (piece of shit, bastard)!
20 min into the argument and continued screaming she finally hit DH, kicked him in the balls and left the house screaming she would never come back!
And now she is gone!
DH is talking to BM right now - I told him to call her before SD get's a chance given that he's got her phone...
So far (5 min into the conversion) it is going fairly well and BM is actually listening...
I can't even grasp the thought that she might be gone for good.... Is there peace and tranquility at the end of my tunnel?

Best of luck to you! Beware
Best of luck to you! Beware though, as all bad things can be blessings in disguise, some seemingly good things can be curses.
Completely understood -
Completely understood - that's why I'm so cautious...
He should take a warrant out
He should take a warrant out on her and have her arrested. Instead of doing that he will welcome her with open arms and forgive her for this and any other abuse that she decides to dish out.
Actually Sparky, she came
Actually Sparky, she came back after an hour, but not to open arms... He is telling her as I type this to get out of the house. He took her house key and he appears very firm. He finally acknowledged her disrespect, told her that it would have been better if she would have just shut up and been remorseful about her wrongdoing instead of calling him all the names in the book and hitting him... Now he put her on the spot, either respect him and myself, respect this house, acknowledge wrongdoing, follow the rules or leave tonight... So now she is talking and apologizing.... I wonder if she is just saying that because she needs a roof over her head... So I asked her that, wanting to find out if she means what she says... And she says she means it...
I guess its wrong to laugh -
I guess its wrong to laugh - but I am so glad DH saw this for himself! Good luck and I hope you get what YOU want and need out of this!

Yep Most Evil, not only that
Yep Most Evil, not only that - but he also found items in her possession that belong to him and she clearly took them out of the bedroom. This was a great moment for me since I told him numerous times that some of my stuff is magically disappearing (which is described in an older post and was stopped by installing an entry lock door handle). But it showed him that I wasn't hallucinating... I ended up speaking my mind about her disrespect, how she lost a lot of points with me, how she want's to be "Miss Independent" but can't even walk a block to work and is expecting rides and and and... I feel a lot better now, but I still don't know how to deal with her in the future, knowing that she doesn't like me (she took the "I Hate You" from earlier back). I'm still cautious with her, I do not believe in a sudden change of mind, even though it would be nice...I wish I could not focus on the bad - but that is the situation she maneuvered herself into with me...
Even better!! I am glad you
Even better!! I am glad you told your DH how you feel. I do not see any point in being married to or being with someone that you can't talk to. It doesn't matter if she does not like you - she doesn't need to like you, just respect you - and your stuff!! but you already know that, don't you Keep us posted-!!!!!

Rain, imo, the best thing
Rain, imo, the best thing for this girl is to make her go live with the bm for a while....sometimes they have to really see what they are in the process of losing to REALLY see a change in attitude. I fear that if yur DH lets her back after she assaulted him, next time who knows what could happen.....omg I'd love to see what would happen to SD17, almost 18, if she kicked my DH.....LOL...she'd prolly be sittin in a jail cell lookin thru the classifieds for a place to live when she got out.......I say stay strong and drop the hammer on her, it took my SS having to live with the BM and have no clothes, school supplies etc for him to see what his father does for him and that he MUST respect him to have the life he wants....
A mother is not defined by the "b" or the "s" in front of her name, she is defined by how she handles the "mother" part.....
Well i hope your dh NEVER
Well i hope your dh NEVER gives back the house key. NEVER! So she realizes who's house it is, who's rules and to never hit her own father like that.
Personally i would have booted her butt out the door and made her live somewhere else for a while but i dont think that your there just yet. Takign the key and being firm the way your dh was and catchign her too on stealing was an eye opening for both daugther and father.
Basically, keep the key from her and if she continues to drive without license, then pack her bags and throw her out...aka..alert teh authorities to what she is doing...maybe a house visit will hit the nail deeper with this girl ....Cause as long as she is not cuaght in the act, i dont think she can be charged...but a good talking too by a police officer may open her eyes legally.
