Marriage Woes
I have been married for almost 23 years. My husband has some serious back problems. He has limited mobility. He is constantly in alot of pain. We have a 17 year old son who is willing to help his Dad when he needs help. And I also try to help my husband out as well. But for years now my husband will say things in an impolite manner whenever one of us does not do what he asks right when he asks us to do it. It has made it to where I do not want to spend time with him nor does my son. I have talked about his behavior to him
several times. But nothing changes. I am not so much worried about me but my son. My husband a poor example of a Dad and I am afraid my son will turn else where for the advice he needs to get from his Dad. What would you do? Concerned Mother

Thank you for your comments. Yeah, my husband does have issues. And he is angry about his condition. I know I can't change that for him. There are alot of issues we do not talk about because my DH is very unapproachable. I have put up many walls through the years with my DH because parenting our 17 year old has not been the only issue.
Why stay? Guilt over his poor
Why stay? Guilt over his poor health? You have tried for years to help this man and he is mean and ungrateful for your efforts. You have talked to him and he hasn't changed. You and your son are unhappy and have been for years. Leave. Life is too short to waste. Seriously. I bet once he is on his own he manages just fine.
