I guess its come to an end...
BM officially doesn't want her kids anymore. She has been trying to make it look like she's had them some this summer, but they spend most of the time at their grandparents and the few days they actually spend at her place, she is at work all day. My SS16 finally said the words out loud "I hate going over there-it sucks". I don't have the heart to tell him she wants them another week in August. My SS18 has already made it very clear he hates going over there to see her and doesn't want to. Poor guys, I can't tell her for them, they have to be the one to stand up for themselves and do it. They will eventually. Then there's my poor little SS11...my baby boy-he needs his mama soooo bad an I can only do so much. I love him and hold him and snuggle him, but I'm just not his mama. He misses her terribly. She is only here weekends now and many of them she is too busy or has plans. I think we have had the kids at least half of her weekends so far this summer. Oh well, all I can do is love these babies and take the best care of them I know how. I am so saddened by her giving up though, it really breaks my heart as a mother.

YOU'RE A BEAUTIFUL PERSON!
REMEMBER THAT WE DON'T PICK OUR PARENTS. I FEEL FOR THE SKIDS CUZ SHE DOESN'T REALIZE WHAT SHE'S MISSING...THANK GOD YOU ARE THERE TO SHOW THEM WHAT A REAL MOTHER AND WIFE LOOKS LIKE. YOU ARE A TREMENDOUS BLESSING FOR THEM. I HAVE ONE DAUGHTER WHOM I ADOPTED AND I ALWAYS TELL HER THAT GIVING BIRTH DOES NOT MAKE YOU A MOTHER BUT STAYING UP ALL NIGHT WHEN YOUR SICK, LAUGHING DURING YOUR KNOCK KNOCK JOKE PHASE AND CUDDLES ON THE COUCH MAKE A REAL MOTHER. HANG IN THERE...HUGS....
how sad to watch
Thank God they have you and their Dad. I am sure you are helping them cope so much!

Sassy...
You are a special woman....To love a child as your own and try to give them the mothering that they want so badly from their biomom is SUCH a hard thing to do..and I think u are just AWESOME for "stepping up", which is what we SMs do every day (yet often get little credit for)....I have skids whose BM gave up on them and took off and even though they are doing better and better every day, we all know those wounds run deep...my mom died in childbirth with me and I ended up having the stereotypical evil SM, so I really never knew a real mother's love, so going thru life with a living BM and knowing she is out there, yet doesn't want to be in yur life, must be just horrible... You, my friend, are making their lives better just by being there...keep doing what u are doing, as hard as it is sometimes, and KNOW that you are right where u are supposed to be :).....I applaud u....YAY!!!!

Gotta say
I love your profile pic.... and I applaud you for being there for your SS's.... they need you since thier own mother is more interested in running the streets.
Sas, you are Mama. You stepped up and the Skids know it.
They are truly fortunate and blessed to have you in their lives.
Best regards,
Success is rarely final. Failure is rarely fatal. It is character, courage and consistency of effort that count. Vince Lombardi (with some minor Rags modifications) To each according to their performance, screw Karl Marx. (Rags)
I am in the same boat
And posted about the "ever disappearing BM" a few weeks ago, as well as the first time she was to have her one overnight a week since May, DH, myself and the rest of our kids seeing BM without SD but with a date at Bob Evans that night, and we still have no idea where SD was at 9:30 at night.
It is so hard to be the mom to kids who need their mom to be the mom.
My heart goes out to you Sassy. It's a long journey toward healing for the whole family when this happens.
