Thank-you Echo
A few days ago I posted about the ironing situation with DH & SS. I want to thank everyone who commented especially Echo who was really straight talking and gave me some good advice.Quite often when you are in a situation you don't always see the most obvious solution and need an outside person to set you straight.
I spoke to DH a day later and told him that SS learning to iron is a life skill so the sooner he learns it the better. The next thing will be to teach him to operate the washing machine,SS lives in this house too (50% of the time) so he needs to have some chores too. Again I mentioned how it is for SS benefit if he learns to do his own laundry now and take responsibility for his own things. DH said yes he agrees (after a bit of pouting) but probably because it dawned on him if I don't do the laundry & Prince Fragile doesn't do it then he will have to do it.
Interestingly last night we all went out for a meal with MIL and before we went out SS had a shower and put in a clean change of clothes. When we got home SS wanted to put the same clothes in the wash (he only sat in the restaraunt in them for 2 hours) and DH told him off! This would have never happened before.
So thank-you again Echo (& others) for telling it to me straight, and helping me stand up to DH & SS.

Thanks Sally,yes I agree
Thanks Sally, yes I agree funny that! He use to tell him in a half hearted "you shouldn't change so many outfits a day SS" way but not actually take it any further ie actually see what SS is doing and make sure clothes are on the hanger rather than just chucked in the laundry basket because SS is too lazy to put them away.
At least Monster hangs his up
At least Monster hangs his up -even if it is on the door lol.SS just chucks his on the floor or into the laundry basket grrrrr!
I agree with you there WHY is
I agree with you there WHY is it so difficult to put stuff back in its place??It drives me nuts! Oh & then the gripe is the clothes are covered in cat hair - I have 6 long haired cats & Hoover daily however if you leave your clothes in a pile on the floor obviously the cats will use it for their bed!My clothes which are put where they belong don't seem to suffer the same affliction.
