OMG..OH ACTUALLY thought of me OVER SD7!!!

I know right!!

I blogged the other day that I was waiting on the guilt trip regarding OH working all weekend and not seeing SD7. I naturally assumed that she would be left with me, and Id be asked after the fact....BUT wait.....no way....did I just hear what I thought I did!?

OH informs me yesterday that he has made.....ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SD7!!! :jawdrop:

I was actually shocked, and it came across that I was.....so it started like this;

OH "Im going to pick SD7 up from school on Friday, spend a few hours with her before mom comes to collect her. At least I can spend some time with her then with working"

Me " OK then, nay bother. Dont forget, you will also see her Saturday night for a few hours too, and Sunday afternoon before she goes home"

OH "No, Ive made arrangements with mom to keep her all weekend....to give you a break" (please note; I believe this was only arranged yesterday evening...after I had test results stating I have gestational diabetes, and OH knows it has knocked me for six)

Me "Oh, OK then"

OH (a little excitedly) "Unless you want to have her!? Just thought you may have wanted a break"

Me " Well, if you have already arranged it, you know. Your mom has probably made plans now with SD7 anyway now"

And that was how it ended......I have actually considered telling OH I will have SD7 for a couple of reasons; 1) I cant abide his moping around to be fair, and he does miss her when he doesnt see her, even though its HIS fault he has to put the hours in, I dont feel its fair SD7 should sacrifice....HIM yes....and 2) I was hoping to have all her toys and such sorted out with her so we knew what to bin/charity shop and what she wanted to take home with her........

My Bestie has told me NO NO NO!!....lol

I'm glad he did this. Breaks are good. I'm sorry to hear about your gestational diabetes. I had it when I was pregnant with BS. It really wasn't that bad. If you already eat healthy it will be easy. They will give you a diet and monitor the baby. Everything will be fine. Whatever you do, don't blame yourself that you got it. Nothing you did led to this. And most likely, it will go away after the baby is born. On the bright side, you will probably have a couple of extra ultrasounds and get to see the baby a little more.

I have polycystic overies, so was extremely lucky to have caught for a second time anyway, didnt have it with my BD7 though....Im ok about it, cant change it just manage it a best I can..

Looking forward to the extra scans though...its the only upshot!! lol

I actually wouldn't have minded having SD7 in fairness...mainly because she is parented properly by me so I never have problems with her really...

You will also gain less weight making it easier to lose afterwards.

I loved the extra ultrasounds. I wanted to find out what I was having so I was hoping it would help. Bs didn't cooperate in that regard but it was great to see him growing.

Lol...when they did my 20 week scan he wasnt cooperating, but they managed to get him into a position so that we could find out!

Ive gained weight baby and bump wise but seem to be losing it elsewhere now rather than carrying all over.....I lost it really quick after my daughter, but I was a lot younger then! lol
