Too funny

So this week my daycare provider is on vacation so I am paying my two SS's 13 & 11 to watch their brother. We are on day three & it has been going great. I have had to do a bit of picking up when I get home, but other than that the place is pretty clean. BS almost 4 is loving it, he likes not having to leave the house and having his brothers there with him.

So DH get sends me an email, SS 13 sent him a picture of them titled "outside having fun," with the goofs running through the slip & slide in the back yard. I have to say I am so impressed with the job they have done. I told them I would pay them exactly what I pay my daycare lady. Their mom drops them off in the am on her way to work, I am just amazed how great this worked out.

Oh & here's a odd moment... BS invited BM to his ball game tomorrow, not once but twice...she's coming. ALl I have to say is boy are people going to wonder about us. I have one divorced couple and the dad doesn't even speak to anyone & BM is good about helping out ( very athletic as are her kids ) but she always seems a bit cold to me. Not sure if it is because when she asked for a second packet & said that they TRY to coparent & I said I understand, I have step children, or if she doesn't like that we as coaches concentrate on the most important thing is to have a good time. ( let's face it they are 4 & two 5 year olds so it is more like hearding cats than baseball. All the other parents seem to love us & so do the kids) This woman ought to be floored when she sees my husbands ex wife at our son's game, oh & she said she would help mind the bench so the kids stay hydrated as it will be extreemly hot out tomorrow.

Thanks, trust me we have lots of not so great moments too. One thing nice I can say about BM is she is very nice to our son. BS also has a great relationship with his brothers. They assist us with coaching when they are not playing. We have been at this for 6 years, married for 5.
