So most of our dept. (IT) have been working double duty getting people working remotely.  So far probably 500 requests or so.  

Personally I for once have caught a break.  My people (Sheriff dept and 911) are already working remotely (mobile units) or are essential and have to come in.  I still needed to get nine new deputies fitted with hardware and software.   Done!

They have recruited the overpaid, underworked staff that usually has nothing to do aside from crossword puzzles to include Mr. Potato head that only knows excel spreadsheet making about 75k a year, our point and click, drag and drop "webmaster" (73K a year) who knows zero html, xml, php, javascript, perl, etc and often asks me and my similarly lower paid co-worker how to do things (most recently stated she didn't know what Active Directory was) to do the remote setups for the users (blind leading the blind.)

So as I suspected, Mrs. Headlights, although having a title similar to Desktop Support/Computer Tech, has done NONE of these setups.  She spends most of her time chatting up the CIO.   I asked her "what is the protocol/procedure for these setups?"  As predicted, she answered in her Basso voice... "uuuhhhh I haven't done any of them."

Dr. Phil is working remotely and stuck home with his older wife mostly because he is 61 yrs old.   He called me today to ask me how something is done (he makes 100K a year) and he sounded absolutely EXHAUSTED from having to do his work plus Mrs. Headlight's people as well.

Then I heard the CIO (he looks like Mike Brady of the Brady Bunch) ask Mrs. Headlights: "Were you able to figure out that Ipad issue?"

Mrs. Headlights: (Basso voice) "Uhhhhh I THINK so...."

Mike Brady: "I KNEW you could do it on your own if I gave you enough time."
