I Guess Middle Class Status Braces Aren't that Important Anymore

Saw a photo of YSS 11 1/2 on FB. Aside from seeing the entire family dressed up in Zombie makeup to go through McDonald's drive thru just to "get a laugh," YSS has a HUGE gap in his front teeth.

Now this is the same BM who slapped the older two, OSS and MSD in braces the SECOND they turned eight! Of course that was on biodad's, errr, I mean MY dime.

She got it added into the CS and biodad naively ended up paying 200% of the bill before I caught the error that two lawyers couldn't. The overpayment was never returned since the CS magistrate was and is a colleague of the BM. And yes, there was NOTHING wrong with OSS or MSD's bite; no malocclusions whatsoever. In fact none of them actually take care of their teeth or were made to take care of them by either parent.

But now, YSS is 12 with no sign of orthodonture and a huge gap in his teeth.

Things that make you go HMMMMMMM.

Funny, they didn't wait for any gaps to close with OSS and MSD. My point is that it was purely for financial gain seeing that it was added to the CS and she was NEVER going to tell biodad when the bill was paid off.

Now that it's on HER insurance and may not be fully covered, she said "F it" for YSS getting braces.

Don't even get me started on braces! SS15 and SD16 both have braces (they needed them!) BUT of course because both BMs are low life's they got their braces for free with their free government insurance I guess I shouldn't complain, because at least DH didn't have to fork out money for them but still..

But of course if BS4 ever needs braces, because I actually have a real JOB and make decent money but our dental insurance sucks.... WE will be paying a hefty sum for his braces. It chaps my ass to no end the unfairness

How sad. I too have a gap in my teeth. For some reason, although I begged my parents for braces, they always claimed the dentist stated they were not needed. Actually, a couple of years ago I finally decided to pay for them myself and the orthodontist did a horrendous job and they are now back to what they were Sad By the way, my SISTER, the oldest one and my father's favorite did get them. My parents, especially my father, seem to think that I am always bringing up stuff from the past and that they cared for us the same. Nothing could be further from the truth. My sister got braces, my sister went to piano lessons, my sister even got a piano that wasn't used after about 6months, my sister did it all…I got NOTHING. Nothing has really changed. I feel sad for your skid that he is being treated this way. It is one thing if the others did NOT get them but when he is the ONLY one, he will forever be upset by it.

By the way, my son I believe needs them but stupid me while I was working and had insurance that covered it, sent my son to the dentist with POS father and father always claimed the dentist stated he didn't need them. Once I was out of work, I took my son to the dentist and the dentist said EXACTLY the opposite…now insurance does NOT cover braces for our son. My DH doesn't seem to give a rat's ass. Funny, I KNOW DH paid for his loser kid's braces from our account…no doubt in my mind he did…asshole he is. So I will be ensuring that he pays for them for our son as well. I ended up with no job and no insurance because of DH, he can now pay for it in full.
