Now that the HousesHitter (YSS) is 18

I think the Girhippo realizes that she cannot be charged with educational neglect per New York state laws.  Not that it stopped her before then as he was constantly truant since pretty much the fourth grade.

We still get reports from the school almost every day in the mail with a paper tiger warning about the HousesHitter's truancy.  He seems to be skipping every day now.

Meanwhile OSS24, Pumpkinhead, who supposedly is engaged to be married, posts the weekly specials at his low-rent grocery store (Little Idiot's former employer) where he works on his social media.  The Girhippo quickly "likes" these posts.

Lol

SD22, the Animal Torturer, has gone incognito on social media.  Pretty sure she was let go from the furniture sales job several months ago.

Still trying to track it all in case the HousesHitter's status changes and he accidentally emancipates before age 21 which would signal the permanent end of the Girhippo being on the payroll.

The truancy charges for my twin SDs got dropped because BM told the judge that they were so traumatized by their weekly visits with their dad that she couldn't get them to go to school.  DH had zero problems getting them ready for school.  One of them fell behind in math because her school counselor sessions were during math period.  So she has an IEP for math now so problem fixed there. LOL.

She made sure psychotic SS went to school while his sisters played hookie with mommy....because he sucks the joy out of life so best to keep in school so he can threaten other students, be disrespectful to the teachers but manipulate his handler that he's just a victim in this life.

DH talked to psycho SS the other day, despite his expulsion last year he got moved on to next grade. Still making A's and B's...better be since I know there is an adult who spoon feeds him answers.

They go to a school system that is considered highly rated but knowing how things are worked out for my skids, you couldn't pay me to send my kid there.

that the ferals attend(ed) is the Girhippo's alma mater.  All the administrators and educators are the Gir's school chums.

They have an unusually high rate of IEPs.  One of the administrators that sat on the special education committee (who told Chef that his opinion doesn't count) has been promoted to principal.

I would never ever send a child of mine to that school district.

He was probably able to drop out legally at 16 or 17 depending on his district's rules, so at that point, it's not educational neglect and the school stop trying much as well.

In my school district, parents are taken to court and fined if kids missed more than a certain # of days.

My SO was fined and had to go to court and fight it.  He had 50/50 custody and the kids didn't go to school when they were with their drunken mother.  However HE was fined and had to go to court.  He had to show proof of the visitation schedule and how the absences corresponded to days they were at their mothers.  Charges/fines were dropped against him and not pursued against his ex.  Funny how that works...

I've never heard of anyone being fined for their kid's truancy in New York, male or female.  CPS involvement for younger kids, but that's it.

The judge didn't even give DH a chance to talk and give his opinion why the kids missed so much school on BM's days. He only had ears for BM's sob story.  She spoon fed him lies and he dismissed the 2 years of truancy.

BM used to tell DH her car wouldn't start was the reason they missed so much school.  The girls told me they just didn't want to go some days and their mom never made them go.  And to top it off, BM bribed them with $100 each to have better attendance. With the way one kid talked they still got the money despite the truancy.

The girls missed lots of girl scout meetings on BMs days too. She told the scout leader they were sick every monday.  They were not sick, they were having playdates with a friend instead.
