Our Bios Aren't Perfect
Yep I know a lot of us SMs may sound like our bios are perfect in comparison to our skids. And for the most part that is pretty accurate as it's all in the parenting.
I will admit my grown DD and her husband frustrated me recently. They moved to Southern PA. Their original house is an hour away from me here in NY. They COMPLETELY underestimated the size and quantity of moving vans leaving a LOT of stuff back at the old house.
They did warn me about it. I know they only had a month's notice and they are non-military so don't know what it's like to be a nomad with those bad-ass packing skills.
As a child, we moved CONSTANTLY (although non-military) BUT we always lived in APARTMENTS which is a far cry from moving from a 3 or 4 bedroom HOUSE with full basement and attic!!
And of course, I have to be very careful what I say around Chef as he will use it as an opportunity to get out the turd polish. A few months from now I can picture it:
"Yeah my kids are in Juvi but YOUR kids left a bunch of their stuff behind when they moved."
UGH!

Can you have some kind of
Can you have some kind of Garage/Estate Sale?
To be honest some of the
To be honest some of the stuff I can use personally. Like a humidifier (mine just broke) My DS is eyeing some of their stuff and what I can't use, I'll sell on craigslist. Of course it is the middle of winter so it would have been easier had it been during the warmer months. :O
But you have to go with the job opportunties!
Catmom4's H sounds JUST LIKE
Catmom4's H sounds JUST LIKE CHEF!
Chef accused DS of purposely running down the battery on the lawn mower so he didn't have to mow the lawn when he was working full time and living with us for about 4 months before he entered the Air Force.
That lawn mower was a total piece of crap and the battery was ALWAYS discharging. It took an act of GOD to start that thing! And to top it all off, DS had been asking repeatedly if it was dry enough to mow--we live in a swamp!
