what are you doing for Mother's Day?

Biggrin

In my case DS and DIL have purchased tickets to a Mother's Day Brunch at a winery in their area.  I usually don't have a problem cooking even on MD and hosting, but this year I'm looking forward to sittting back and relaxing!!  Chef does do a lot of the cooking and cleanup during the week though but still will be enjoyable.  We will also be doing DIL's b-day along with DD and SIL's 14th anniversary (via skype).

I have already celebrated with my oldest son and my grand daughter.  He bought me some flowers and made some cute crafts with the grandbaby. Since it is wife's first mother's Day, he will do something special for her on Mother's Day.  My middle son is deployed.  I will am sure he will call me.  My youngest is away at college.  He will also call me.

I will not get to see my children on Mother's Day but I will be enjoying myself.  I think I may go see a movie.

DH works all day so it will be my son and I at home alone. Smile We'll go to church in the AM - they usually do something for Mother's day there. And then DS and I will do lunch together -he's only 4 so I'll get a homemade card probably and last night they took me to the green house and I got two houseplants with very pretty pots to put them in - they know how mcuh I love my plants! They also know how OCD I am and that I llike to pick out my own plants - ha! So that was my Mother's Day gift. (not that I always get one) Smile

I don't really have plans, but I'll probably take my mother out to eat with my 2 BDs. If BM dumps the skids off early, maybe I'll take them and DH too.

I usually just have my mother over and have a casual lunch.  I always loved mother's day, even before I was a mother, because that was the ONE day out of the year I could be CERTAIN that skids would NOT be around!  lol
