3 more days til this extended summer vacation is OVER!!! SS is ready to go home and so am I!! Let's see, last week DH took off to spend with SS. It was a load off my shoulders and I totally disengaged. So nice! I wrote about the non-appreciative attitude ss had last week & how it made dh mad. I also wrote about how our bd was feeling left out. So this week dh took off a few days to take theboys on an overnight trip. Ss did say thanks to dh! But now the constant fighting has begun between ss12 and bs3. Durin the trip (just the boys) dh said ss fought a lot with bs. (you can see a previous post about this too!) this time I wasn't there and dh saw firsthand that it isn't always started by bs. Ao I guess dh got after both boys on the road. Ss calls bm crying yesterday ready to go home. He'll be 13 in a few months....roll my eyes. Dh doesn't really know what sssaid on the phone but figures he's probably making dh to e the bad guy. Oh well. So today the kids and I go visit my family. I asked ss if he wanted to go or stay. He stayed. I was gone a few hours before I remembered I left ss at home alone...oops! Anyway, this visit has been forever long or 17 days and it is almost over.

No more constant fighting in my house (bs & bd play well together)
No more getting accused of 'picking sides'.
No more nagging ss to pick up his mess.
No more having to hear dh complain about ss attitude.
No more preteen boy attitude!
No more of this feelin like my house was invaded.
No more tears from bd because ss was mean to her

I'm so ready. Dh works the next few days so hopefully they don't drag on. Funny thing, while the kids and I were gone today not one time did they ask about ss (their half brother) or where he was or why he wasn't there...nothing. They are so readyfor him to be gone too. In 3 days I'll share a virtual toast with you all!
