still no sign of BM
no drama, no craziness..i hope it lasts!
Saturday, we took BF's son to the zoo, and had a fun time, and after went out for dinner. it was relaxing, nice to be outside, and a lot of fun walking around. before we left, BFs son mentioned he heard from his mom, (we know shes in rehab somewhere now, but dont know much of the details) he misses her a lot, its pretty sad. i hope she gets her shit together and can be a good mom. if she stays out of the area she lived in before and away from all the bad influences, she may have a chance. she pretty much ruined her chance of having a good job and life with her problem, but she has lots of family that i think are willing to help her and get her on her feet. i actually saw her myspace (its on private, so i can only see her location) and she changed some info, hopefully making it harder for people she knew before to track her down. i hope for her sons sake she settles down already. i am so over the crazy weird phone calls and her moods, bad boyfriends and so on, and most of all, her hate for me and BF being together. BFs son is telling us he thinks were going to get married, and im sure hes telling her that. so we'll see how it goes when she finally resurfaces.

I too hope it lasts for you
I too hope it lasts for you and your family. It must be so hard on SS to have her in and out of his life so erratically. I know a lot of women going through this short change their recovery b/c their child "needs" them. It's a delusion, their child NEEDS them to get their lives together, and to stay out of theirs until that's done, but it's just an avoidance technique of addicts to avoid dealing with their own issues.
I hope this time she can do the responsible thing, and become a person who is a positive influence on his life. Until that time, SS is lucky to have a carrying father and you in his life, many kids in these situations are not so lucky I'm afraid...
