FSD 7 was in prime form this morning

Why do they have to act this way?

At breakfast this morning FSD was being her true self and was trying to cause issues. She was trying to pick fights with my BD over stupid things like an easter basket. I stepped in and stoppped the situation so she then proceeds to try and get my BD in trouble. When that doesn't work she proceeds to tell FDH right in front on my BD, FSS, and me about how she wishes that he was still married to the crazo, the ex. FDH told her to quite being mean and that was he was never going to marry her and I told her to turn around in her seat and eat her breakfast. She then proceeds to ignore me and kept trying to engage FDH so I repeated myself. Her response was, "I'm talking to my dad."
Of course this p!ssed FDH and myself off so she is losing something this week. I haven't quite figured out what she has lost as of yet.

Then when we left I couldn't get the stupid garage door to close so I called FDH and he said he would come home and take a look at it. After that we were driving to school and my BD asked if they were going to be late for school and I told her no. Of course then FSD has to chime in with my mom has never dropped me off late for school but you did one time. This was the straw that broke the camels back. I told her that I have never dropped her off late. That I always drop them off before the buses even arrive and that according to her teacher she has three tardies that have happened on her mother's week.

I can't handle this child sometimes. She's just a mean little kid. Monday night both kids wanted to go back to their mother's, (they use this as a way to make FDH feel guilty and give them more attention) so FDH, being fed up this, drove them over there. Before they left FSS and FSD kept asking if FDH was crying, which he wasn't, and FDH wouldn't respond to them. So FSD's response to FSS was and I quote, "He's crying inside." WTF!! What 7 year says this.

Thanks for listening to me vent guys and gals.

grrrr...

this is so maddening. so glad dh is on your side. can you imagine if he defended and coddled that behavior?

it's so hard not to slap them.

I agree. I was heated when she mad the comment about dropping her off late for school. It's a rush just to get out the door on time in the mornings because of her and her inability to stay focused and I have to be at work right after I dropped them off.

She can be down right evil sometimes. It's like there's another personality hiding just waiting for the right moment.

Anybody have any ideas on what she should lose? They typically get movies on Friday and Saturday nights. That can be taken away from her. There's also going to bed early, lose of treats. Manual labor sounds good.

eat her dinner on the floor in the corner??

doing dishes every time she's rude to someone?

She'd probably end up breaking all of the dishes.

I'm thinking chores all day Saturday. I'll have to talk with FDH first.

You know that sad thing with her is that I acutally make an effort. We were going to do a fashion show this weekend where she was going to dress up in one of my dresses and wear a pair of my high heel shoes. She's a girly girl and I knew that she would love it. I just don't get this kid.

She won't care if I take away the fashion show. That wouldn't matter to her. She'll be out playing with friends and riding her back. She won't even remember and she would probably enjoy doing that dishes because that's what adults do and she already thinks she is one.

We were going to dye easter eggs Friday night and do the easter egg hunt on Saturday because both her and her brother will be at the ex's house for Easter. I could take one or both of those away. I don't know how FDH would fee about that though.

I think manual labor is always the best option!! Heck if you're afraid she'll break your real dishes go buy plastic plates, forks, and spoons and just pour them from the container into a sink of soapy water and make sure she washes each one, rinses and drys them spot free!! I think a few dollars on cheap plastic throw away stuff is worth it just to ensure she has to "suffer"...crying on the inside...what a joke!!

Manual labor seems to work well on my ss10. My fav is washing walls!!! The worse tge behavior the more walls to wash. Followed by cleaning up doggy poo in the yard then scrubbing bathrooms down, by hand!!!
Make sure to monitor them, and to make them redo anything not done to your liking!!

My SS10 is alot like her!! I sure feel for you!!!

For manual labor... Do you have any flower beds or gardens that need weeding? It is pretty warm where I am, you could teach her how to run the lawnmower, and rake up the grass when she is done.

Easier said then done. We are on a pretty tight schedule on the weekday mornings due to getting ready for school and I have to get ready for work. She's a smart kid and she hasn't forgotten that what she did was wrong.

Washing walls. I like this idea. It's hours and hours of work. I think that this is very good idea.
