Emotional Support
I just need to vent. BM (Princess) calls this morning - several times - until SO finally calls her back. She doesn't generally call and by the time she'd called the third time we figured something was wrong (he was in the shower and I wasn't about to answer his cell and talk to her).
What was the crisis? What horrible tragedy had befallen her that required SO's attention RIGHT NOW?
Her DH was downsized out of a job. And somehow we're supposed to care about this?
SKids are on SO's insurance. He pays ample CS. They live in a house owned by BM's parents and pay nominal rent. Of all the people I know to have economic crisis hit - they're just about in the best position of anyone to handle it.
But she was upset. And she couldn't talk to her DH about it because he's upset, too. So Princess had to call MY SO to cry to him about it. I'm not sure where she thinks she gets the right to use him as an emotional support. He puts up with it because she plays keep away with the kids when she's mad. And it pisses me off.
I will say he got off the phone with her kinda quick this morning. That's the trouble with calling her back right out of the shower - it leaves open all kinds of ways for me to distract him. }:)

Bleh, I used to hate when that kind of stuff happened. It really got to me because I felt like she had plenty of other people to lean on, why did she have to bring her problems this way?
Ugh, I hate that, but I'm glad you were able to handle it well, LOL.
Too funny Devil.... the
Too funny Devil.... the distracting him part.... That sucks.... BM needs to find her own support system or perhaps hire a counselor.... she should NOT be turning to your SO under ANY circumstances.... what a pathetic creature.....

Apparently it does!
Ugh...she has no business calling your Dh for that kind of crap. Doesn't she have friends??

Do Drama Queens have
Do Drama Queens have friends?
His girls will be here Friday night and I can't wait to hear the news from them. Princess has a way of crying to them about everything in her life and then they get all stressed out about their poor momma. Devil (SD14) was in therapy for a while because Princess spent so much time bitching about her DH's ex and her own mother and how hard they made her life. Devil just internalizes it all and feels like she should fix it for her mom. Elf (SD11) just broods when Princess has been dumping on them. So I can look forward to a weekend of a stressed out teen and brooding tween.
Sounds like a good weekend to disappear with my girls for a while. Right now I get along fine with both his girls but my ability to hold my tongue is dependent on how much crap I have to listen to. Which is exactly the reason I won't answer his phone or talk to Princess.

In my case (BM is a HUGE drama queen) she does have friends, but they are the fake kind. They only seem to call her or want to hang out with her when they are in the middle of their own drama's and they need further drama support. They know she'll hate someone just because they told her too...and vice-versa.
I am so glad I'm not like that. What a seriously sad existence.

She was probably trying to
She was probably trying to get him to feel sorry for her to grease him up for more CS down the track, manipulating him. When BM calls my hubbys phone i just keep pressing the red button to stop the call, it rings again, i do it again after about the 5th time she leaves a nasty message, hilarious. I never want to answer it either
