Hello friends!

Just a quick FYI that I'll be absent for awhile. My mother is still having some issues with regards to her health. Last Mon. night she fell in a store parking lot, was taken to the ER, & numerous tests were done to her. The doctors felt it was her insulin going haywire. She's been on oral meds for awhile & they weren't helping, so Dr. put her on insulin...but then she wasn't being monitored closely enough that he was taking her off any of her oral meds, so she was getting too much.

So she was released from the hospital...having problems w/ coordination, bladder control, thinking/speaking clearly, & not that insulin was stopped, she's having the high numbers again.

Yesterday I drove us back to my house (I had no choice, I HAD to come home coz I ran out of meds that I took w/ me to her house)...she was having a hypoglycemic episode when we pulled up.

It's scaring me because this vibrant 79 year old woman, has suddenly aged to a 79 year old woman (does THAT make sense?!)...she's frustrated at the fact she can't remember words, is weak, dizzy, etc.

So tomorrow we're heading BACK DOWN to her home (she is 200 miles east of me), so she can recuperate in her own home...it's more conducive to her mobility since she's got a shower stall in the master bathroom & we only have tubs. (she had a hip replacement & arthritis everywhere)...I will just take care of her down at her house...& boy howdy will I miss my sweet hubby, my daughter & SS plus the animals...but I gotta take care of my mom right now.

Oh, she has dial-up internet, so I'm not online so much as I want to be due to the slowness of it. So I'm gonna lay low until I get back up here, or until she gets high speed internet (which might be sooner than later coz I'm tired of her dialup, so *I* might just spring for it!)

All of you, please take care of yourselves...don't let the BM or BF or SK's getcha down.
