A Fantastic Gift... from SD to me....
SD is in Child Psychology this year. As part of the class, the teacher always has the students write their mothers a letter to tell them how they feel about them. She does this as they are learning about pregnancy and fetus development, etc.
This teacher knows a little about SD's situation, so she told her she could write to her dad, to me, to her mom.... So SD chose to write to all 3!
I don't know what her dad's letter says. I will find out Monday when he gets back into town!
She told me a little about her mom's letter. She told her mom she loved her, and was sorry that she couldn't give her more right now... but that she needs to "protect" herself. She is sorry if it is not the way her mom wants her to love her, but she wants to try to make things better in counseling. She's just not sure when that will be. ... Very nice. Very mature. I don't know what BM's response will be.
Mine came in the mail today. I cried and am still crying.

I love you so much. Thank you for being such a wonderful parent to me. I've grown a lot with all you've taught me and thank you so much for listening. Sometimes I wish you were my real mom. The old lady you helped find her way that one day really got it right. You are an angel and you always manage to help the lost find their way, even though you're only human yourself.

I'm still crying. I feel a little guilty sharing this. But I did want to let you beautiful ladies know that sometimes you are making more of an effect than you realize and you mean more than you know.
