OT---cartoons today vs. when I a kid

BS5 got out of school early due to snow. I was trying to finish work, so turned on cartoon network---usually squat is on. But today, "Tom and Jerry". My BS was rolling w/laughter. He never laughs like that w/the crap on today. I miss Bugs Bunny, Mighty Mouse, and all the classic Looney Tunes. :?

I know, but I do love Ed, Edd and Eddy..... they crack me up.....they're the only cartoon my BS9 will watch. I have DVD's of different cartoons of T&J and BB and the like....he prefers those to the cartoons on now a days.

There was a bugs bunny marathon on New Years weekend. It was fantastic! They don't make cartoons like that anymore. I remember waiting all week for Saturday morning. Still in my jammies with a bowl of cold cereal watching cartoons until my mom got sick of it and turned it off. Ahhhh, those were the days.

Back when Saturday mornings was the only time you could watch cartoons!! Geez, now you can watch them at 4 am on a Tuesday.
