The skids actually made me laugh 'til my stomach hurt today. First of all, we were out shopping for socks, underwear, shoes, pajamas, t-shirts etc.. and having a great time. I hate shopping for myself, but I love shopping for other people, especially my husband, nephew and the skids. So anyway, I have gained thirty pounds this year, which was my goal because I was at 95 around Christmas and starting to have heart problems. Well, anyway, pretty much by stuffing everything I could in my face, I got to my optimum weight but haven't been dancing or working out very much so I have a little stomach pooch if I relax and forget to suck in. I was wearing my favorite stretchy grey cashmere sweater and jeans and in the store, in a very loud voice, SS5 patted my belly and asked if I was going to have a baby!! Everyone around us heard and quickly put their heads down so it wouldn't look like they heard it, but I was mortified! I quietly explained that it is just fat and that I'm not pregnant. He responded, very loudly again, "well, you're not fat, so you must be pregnant, 'cause only pregnant ladies have sticky outy tummies." At that point I was laughing hard so I told him i'd explain later.

Then in the car, SS11 randomly piped up and said, "StepMadre, you are a very attractive woman. Men find you very attractive." I was totally taken aback and H answered, "well, I certainly find her attractive." I said thank you and that it was a very nice thing to say and SS responded. "It's not nice, it's a fact, you are very pretty and beautiful." It was so hilarious! It came out of nowhere and I happen to look slobby and pretty shitty today. It was so random that I couldn't help laughing and H and I were both trying to hide that we thought it was funny because SS11 would get hurt feelings, easily if he thought we were laughing at him and he was being so sincere.

Anyway, not much other news. Just two little random anecdotes that I thought were funny. Hope you all are having a good Wednesday!
