Should I Go There With Him?
Should I tell DH he and skids are gross?
SD16 normally burps at the dinner table. Even blows her breath at her father so he can smell it! DH muffles his burps saying, "oh gosh." Never excuse me.
SS22 just walked in the house and let out a huge burp. No excuse or anything. Three minutes later, DH calls and BURPS while we're on the phone! WTF!!?? I said, "your son just walked in and did the same thing." To which he says, "We're gross." And I reply, "Yup." He ended the conversation, obviously annoyed by my agreeing with his statement.
Is it gross to the general public or am I just a freak? Should I tell DH he needs to mind his manners?

No, YOU are not a freak. My FDH and his son are EXACTLY the same. Burping, LOUDLY at dinner table...well, anywhere really and they think its totally acceptable. They sneeze and I say "Bless you" they don't respond. I don't think SS washes his hands often enough....UGH. I just thought it was me being too girly and thinking they are just "being boys". I think they are very gross.

One time I was cooking and SS came over to sneak a peice of cheese or what ever it was I was chopping up and I almost freaked out becasue I KNEW he had just been in the bathroom and hadn't washed his hands. Again. If he touched any other peice of anything I woudl have to prepare a whole new meal. I just can't handle the hygeine issues. His father says nothing about this. Ya know, when he is with us on the weekends he doesn't change his clothes or shower?!? Not ONCE from Friday night to Sunday night. WTF? And FDH says nothing.

SS16 picks his acne constantly, washes hands only when told, and WILL NOT brush his teeth unless reminded -- and then moans & groans about it. WTF?!?!

My exH (note the ex part) could never understand why I got upset at his rude body noises. He said he could do whatever he wanted in his own home. Well, okay, then I'm not living there. (That wasn't the main reason I left but it was a symptom of who he thought was important!)
DH and SS are similar. It was just the two of them for the most part when SS was in high school, and all these gross things were funny to them. Well, it's not funny to me. It's rude and it's gross and I'm not one of the sophomoric guys. SS behaves himself around me better than DH does.

MY SS14 used to wipe boogers on the wall in the bathroom right above the roll of toilet paper, I mean within an inch of the roll! How disgusting and lazy is that? He blamed it on his sister but I'm sure it was him I have watched him pick his nose & then wipe it on the couch or his pants ahhhhhhh! Just told them both that unless they want to be supervised every time they go into the bathroom it had better stop....kids are gross!

OMG!! I just told DH to say excuse me and mind his manners!!! I understand burping and farting are part of our bodily functions, but come on!!! Use your manners. Hopefully, he gets the hint and the skids will follow closely behind.
I can't say anything to the skids until I address it with him, which I did. So let's just see what happens next!! Freakin' pigs!!
