Planned/Staged/Scripted Responses. . .We all have to do this to avoid WWIII

Auteur's picture

GG(biodad I live with, short for "God's Gift") got a letter in the mail stating that VD 13, is five years behind in reading and writing skills. A "new" program called "Fusion Reading" is supposed to catch her up. . . yeah right.

He opened it, read it, said NOTHING, i mean NOTHING. Just left the letter out for all to see. Maybe he thinks I will "go there" without his initial input. He is sorely mistaken. I've learned to keep my mouth shut and my opinions to myself. Even if it is about the Behemoth (BM). He defends her at every turn. . .STILL!

But I DO have a scripted answer should the subject "come up."

"Well, I hope that the program helps her." (blink blink)

I've found I have to keep my responses extremely disengaged and neutral in order to keep WWIII from starting.

When the hellions report cards come in; i should say the two OLDEST report cards come in; nothing from the youngest, Prince Hygiene, as I stopped ghost writing on GG's behalf, he sees the low F average but his eyes zoom to the one high mark in a froo froo class and then tells me about it!! (insert massive eyeroll here)

My scripted answer?

"Well, it's good they're taking an interest in a subject." (blink blink)

It is pathetic that we have to do this otherwise biodad goes on the immediate DE-fense.

VENT OVER

You're scripted responses remind me of a joke (see below). Well Good For Her has become my general response to most things skid related. DH will go on and on and on about his kid sometimes. Usually during a romantic dinner, which tends to leave me cold and uninterested in him.

Two Southern belles, one of whom was from Texas, were seated on the porch swing of a large white-pillared mansion talking. The first woman, who was not from Texas, said, "When my first child was born, my husband had this beautiful mansion built for me."
"That's nice," commented the lady from Texas.
"When my second child was born," the first woman continued, "he bought me that fine Cadillac automobile you see parked in the drive."
Again, the lady from Texas commented, "That's nice."
"Then, when my third child was born," boasted the first woman, "he bought me this very exquisite diamond and emerald bracelet."
Once more, the lady from Texas commented, "That's nice."
"What did your husband buy for you when you had your first child?" asked the first woman.
"My husband sent me to charm school," answered the lady from Texas.
"Charm school!" exclaimed the first woman. "Land sakes, child, what on earth for?"
"So that instead of saying 'who gives a shit', I learned to say 'That's nice!'" replied the lady from Texas.

Haha I have heard the same joke, only with that final girl saying that she learned how to say "that's nice instead of Fuck You" }:)

For some reason I think Auteur might appreciate that version even more lol.

Hahaha I have similar canned responses for SO, with regards to news of skids:

That's nice.
Good for him/her.
I hope that helps.

And yes, I give a little flutter of the eyelashes after each *gag*

I live in the south and from the north. I still have a hard time when they say "Bless your heart" and not laughing. I know what they mean....Usually with southern women they say it while stabbing you in the back. It is hysterical.

Yeah she's at a 2nd grade level in actually EVERY subject. That would be excellent if she was 3 but the problem is she's 13.

Charm school, ha ha!!! Yes I think we've all been to charm school!

I can't say that I'm surprised. Apparently the Behemoth was raised the same way. She was the "miracle baby" b/c the Wookie was told she couldn't have children. Once she popped out of the Wookie, it was spoiling and self-esteem combined with enabling all the way. The Behemoth doesn't know any other way to raise a child other than befriend said child and treat him/her as an absolute equal.

The Behemoth plagiarized her way through high school and college. She got caught in college so the Wookie bailed her out and said it would "never happen again" (insert uproarius laughter here)

She was also bailed out of drunken sorority parties by both the Wookie and GG while they were dating. Way to go Wookie and way to pick 'em GG. Of course the Behemoth has humongous ta-tas so that probably accounted for all that LUUUUUUUV on GG's part.

Yep, all those responses I use too.

"That's nice"
"Good for SS/SD"
"I'm sorry to hear that" - for when he complains. I won't dare get into the bad mouthing of skids or BM because it just comes back to haunt.
"That must be so difficult for you" - validates that I've heard him and he is venting without getting involved.
"I'm sure it will work out just fine" - no insulting skids and being negative. Neutral

Tidy is report card pick up for the skids. Both of them are not doing good but SS9 is failing mostly everything. But nothing will happen. Maybe no TV or video.for a few.hours or days... I disengaged from the whole school.situation. I tried so hard with SS9 when he younger. His kindergarten teacher told me.he would've failed if they were grading.the only reason he went to first was because they didn't hold them.back. when I see the bad grades coming in I just roll my eyes and.ignore it. My son when he starts school will have the same expectations I had when I was a kid. In my family growing up C's=F's. I would be scared to bring bad grades. SO definitely doesn't pit the effort for school that he should. I am not going to pick up slack eother--been there done that. ??my question to
these biodads is "how do I expect your children to
survive and compete for.jobs when the competition is
crazy and the economy in the shitter.PREPARE your kids ......sigh :?

Well you know in VD's case she'll either:

1. get a cushy do nothing government job like her mother has (the Behemoth). . . especially rewarding if it is in the CPS dept; gets to remove children from their fathers for no good reason other than a vindictive BM
2. get knocked up at 16 and go on welfare
3. marry a sugar daddy if she inherits GG's humongous headlights

I saw my grown bios grades the other day up in the attic. All As and Bs. Just like what was expected of me growing up. Gotta love that 51% average in core subjects that VD is pulling two months into the school year (65 is pass/fail in NYS)

And yes, just like your SS this has been going on for over eight years now "due to the breakup of GG and the Behemoth" Behemoth 4:8

Can anyone say projection and pity party??
