and it begins...
Just got a call from DH that SD will not be going with us to dinner tonight with my parents....
Yes, my dad works out of town alot and is always back and forth well he is home until tomorrow and then will head back to work for about a month so my DH and I and the kids are taking him and my mother out for dinner. Well I guess SD woke up early, shocking, and told DH she is not comfortable going with us and wants to stay home with him. Thank god DH said well I am going and you can stay home guess she didnt like that answer and just huffed and went into her room...What pisses me off is she doesnt feel comfortable but she was fine when my parents got her a ton of gifts...almost as many as my children got....They treat her like a grandchild and the thanks they get is she is not comfortable going!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! It burns my ass it really does....But thank good DH didnt get sucked into that...She also told him her anxiety is acting up due to her BM.....and might need to go to the Dr. OMG I can not even stand this....told DH good luck I need to get back to work....PLEASE BM GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!!!!!!

I hear ya...I would be the same way...I dont ask my children I tell my children, there really is not any choice....But shes not mine.....I even tell my 20 year old and he just goes along with it....But my SD tells my DH no one tells her thats why this full time thing, IDK....it doesnt look good. But I would rather her stay home...to watch her sulk like a 6 year old...Im good!!!!
SD just text me...."sorry
SD just text me...."sorry wont be going to dinner tonight anxiety is real bad today" and a sad face....Does she think her father doesnt talk to me? I mean really....Its like she thinks there in a little secret cult and daddy says nothing to me about anything but lalalala stuff.....LOL I cant!!!!
If she feels that
If she feels that uncomfortable then all the gifts should be returned. And a little talk about behaving like a reasonable person and sending her apologies DIRECTLY to your parents is in order.
It may pay to have a word with your DH about you not wanting SD to get into the habit of using her anxiety issue as an excuse to get out of things like having dinner with your parents. She can get really good mileage out of it but she SHOULD be working as pushing herself to overcome the anxiety problem.
LOL.....I totally agree and
LOL.....I totally agree and just had this discussion with DH a few minutes ago on my lunch break....I told him i thought it was completely uncalled for that she does not go espicially when she spent the day with them Christmas and loved all the gifts and hugged them.....he thought for a minute and said "OMG your right she is using her anxiety isnt she"...BINGO!!!!!!! She does this all the time, HELLOOOOO!!!! Its like he finally saw the light.....so when I get home we will see what happened....So far he is at least opening his eyes and shes only been with us 2 weeks, full time was official Friday.... :jawdrop: Have to say though since she has been with us I have had ZERO time with DH....We are going out Jan 27 to a concert we are both so excited SD asked what time we are leaving when DH said its just us going, if looks could kill I would be DEAD!!!!! LMAO......
Well at least DH didn't get
Well at least DH didn't get suckered in like most of these guilty daddies on the forum. GG would have stayed home with his brood and taken them to the movies or something as equally entitled.
