Dread the coming weekend
I was just wondering if anyone has any advice or suggestions related to long-distance visitation.
I am a SM to SS7 and SD4 to different BM's. SD4 lives with BM and we are supposed to have visits every second weekend but as they live about 3 hours away from us, we visit once a month.
BM of SD4 will not meet us at a half-way point to help us visit with SD4. Also ever since we have started having visitation (she was held in contempt of court because she refused DH visitation initially) she will not hand over SD4 so that we can start our time with her. We have stayed at BM's home in cold, snow, rain, blazing heat etc for anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours.
I feel like the bad guy or somehow I don't support him enough because I am getting increasing frustrated with the situation. I want to tell him - I take 6 hours out of my well deserved weekend sitting in a freakin' car so that we can spend together and build a relationship with your daughter. I have kept my mouth shut even I am beyond angry that we have stayed outside his ex's place for 2 hours before we can leave. I do all the packing, I clean up afterwards and there have been a few occasions when I have paid for the motel room because you were not able to afford it. We always take my car because it is more gas efficient and has less miles.
Anyway - rant over.
I was just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this and if so how you have helped yourself be okay with it.
Thank you!

You really don't have a
You really don't have a choice. File BM in contempt of court. everytime, maybe you can find out what the least costly is because you may be doing it alot. Its a control issues. What a pos.
the only good thing i can say
the only good thing i can say is, at least it's only once a month! the rest of the situation sucks donkey balls. you should stay home and enjoy yourself and let dh do his obligations by himself.
Why do you go with him?
Why do you go with him? That's crazy. Let him go alone and tuff it out- the situation might just solve itself then.
