Just joined, but not quite understanding all the abbreviations, could someone possibly take a minute to inform me, I get SK, SS & SD and I think BM is biological mother???

A big fat hairy hug for your help xxxx

Take a look under the F.A.Q. section under the menu to the left of the page. It has them all there. You are right about BM, but there are many others that we all use Smile

Straight from the F.A.Q.....

What do the abbreviations mean?
Here are just a few (for now):

•sm = stepmother
•sd = stepdad
•bm = biological mother
•bf = usually biological father but every now and then some use for boyfriend
•sd = step daughter
•ss = step son
•bs = biological son
•bd = biological daughter
•dw = darling wife
•dh = darling husband
•dd = darling daughter
•ds = darling son
•poa = power of attorney
•cs = child support
•mil = mother-in-law
•fil = father-in-law
•pas = Parental Alienation Syndrome

Good evening smomof2, I can't even begin to tell you how much better I am feeling after finding this site. I thought I was the only one. This morning I had visited my Dr, got put on anti-depressants and baged up all my treasured possessions to put on ebay as I just wanted to depersonalise my house as if I didn't exist. After reading so many other stories of brill people in my situation, I have got my appetite back (haven't been able to eat for 2 days), stopped having my panic attacks and can see a future where I am not in a mental state that miserable does not even come close to describing.

Thank goodness I have my animals: giant house rabbit, 8 chickens, 2 ducks and 3 turkeys. And Barbie & Sindy (female Turkeys)are nesting so I'll be a granma soon. And give me staying up all night hand rearing a clutch of baby turkeys to my rotten step trolls anyday of the week...and they'd be grateful......

Good job I found ST, just about to sell my Dolce & Gabbana boots (which I've never worn but still love having).

psychobitch, you have no idea how grateful I am that I found this site! I'm so inspired by all the support and honesty here. I used to feel so alone and misunderstood as SO doesn't get what I'm going through. Hang in there and don't forget to enjoy every moment of victory.
