The Summer Camp Clothes Saga - ENDS
So for the past 5 years DH has been the one to pick SS15 up from summer camp. Either it's been our regular weekend or BM has offered (wink, wink)this weekend to DH, and DH never passes up a chance to have extra time with the SSons. The downside of this is I end up with SS's dirty camp laundry and DH has always asks me to wash it "for SS".
Anyway, SS15's clothes are always a filthy, muddy, musty smelling nightmare. In the past I have dutifully washed SS15's camp clothes. I mean soaked, scrubbed and bleached busted my butt to get them clean in time for the Monday morning drop-off at BM's. Well times have changed }:)
This year I refused. I didn't lift a finger to wash any of his camp clothes. I told DH, he and SS15 were welcome to wash the camp clothes themselves, I'm done. So DH's solution? DH ended up pulling out the clothes that SS15 had taken to camp that we had bought for him and closed-up the nasty, damp, musty rubbermaid tub SS15 stores his clothes in at camp. Threw the tub in the trunk of his car and dropped it off at BM's house Monday morning.
I wonder if BM fainted when she opened the tub and got a whiff of "camp funk." As it had been stewing in the trunk of DH's car since Friday. Wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see that.
