5 days with BOTH skids together...???
H is planning a 5-day "vacation" for the skids to come to our home over the Thanksgiving holiday.
I'm glad he gave me plenty of notice as I will be finding my own vacation spot to retreat to for those 5 days. Time to visit an out-of-town relative for the holiday.
There is no freaking way I am going to spend 5 days with those kids. I can barely get through a weekend with one of them - let alone with the two of them together with the fighting; the whining; the bullshit; the drama; watching my H becomes The Ball-less Wonder; watching my home be destroyed; listening to SD's signing and SS's non-fucking stop NOISE making; the constant battle for dads attention; the treating our home like it's supposed to be some kind of resort for them; and being ignored by my H because he simply canNOT handle one of them, let alone the two of them together.
A part of me doesn't want to abandon my home and all of my belongings to them, but the wiser part of me knows that it's far better for my health and sanity to just not be around while they are here.

If we were in a financial position to rent a hotel room for 5 days, I assure you that I would not hand that opportunity over to H and the skids. I would rent myself a hotel room, in another city far away, to have myself a real vacation.

No, I do not. They are not trustworthy. But seriously, I will have a stroke if I have to spend 5 days with them. I'll take my chances, because the truth is: they will break and damage things whether I am home or not. So why put up with the aggravation.
