After what seems a long wait- just about six months- I pick up the keys to my new house tomorrow and so the next exciting stage of my life begins. I can't wait!

I will be moving my furniture on Monday and fully moving out of this 'prison' of an apartment in a couple of weeks.

It has been a reasonably smooth journey, made easier by the support of family and friends, and there have been days of frustration, sleepless nights and the odd caving in to tears- but, I've done it and I haven't even needed to touch my savings or get into debt, which was one of my main concerns.

I can't imagine what it will feel like to turn that key in the lock and own (quite literally) that space tomorrow...!

Just also to let you know that I have still heard nothing from TheX and once my new life has begun, I will think less and less of the life I once lived. I have memories of course, and photographs, but sometimes thinking back I wondered how I lived like that- feeling that my life was not my own, making the best of things, trying to make a relationship that was doomed come back to life.

Now, I am truly in control of my time, my money, and my life. It feels incredibly free and energising, and I remain utterly grateful to all the people who helped me out.

Thank you to each and everyone who offered a hand up to me when I was down, and I do hope to stay around and do the same for you in return. This is still the best site ever- my life is transformed but I will never forget the people on here who made me laugh, cry and imparted the wisdom and common sense that took me from the misery of step-life to the promise of many good times to come.
