Baby Girl is Coming

I went to my OB yesterday for my 37 week appointment. I developed signs of preclampsia and my OB sent me to L&D for induction at midnight last night. Baby girl should arrive either later today or tomorrow! DH has been great and I'm handling things as best I can at the moment.

What exciting news! You will soon discover that nothing in the world is more awe-inspiring than your new daughter. I was 17 years old when my own daughter was born and holding her in my arms for the first time produced a blast of love that I’d never encountered before.

Trust me, Castle, the machinations of the two shrews (one is reminded of the wicked stepsisters who plagued Cinderella) will become less than white noise in your maternal fog.

Thank you everyone for the good vibes and well wishes. Things are progressing well; we are just playing the waiting game at this point. DH has been an absolute rock - changing my bloody hospital bed pads, helping me transfer in and out of bed, running to get me ice chips and clear liquids. It makes me really appreciative to have such a compassionate man in my life.
