My direct boss is on vacation defending his Master's thesis.  My customer boss has jumped in hip deep on a report presentation that I have been back and forth clarifying with the Ops director's designee for two weeks. 

First, he blew a gasket on the format of the report.  He was not happy when he got angry about the format only to find out... he had provided the format in a presentation he made.... on Tuesday.

Then he sent a new format and a pile of additional requirements after 8PM last night. 

So I was up nearly all night along with several rotating members of my team pulling the smoke and mirrors crap he was mandating out of our collecive asses.

This was on top of a late notice unrelated meeting to review something that does not actually exist.  So, all morning, in between continuing to edit the new format report presentation I had to coordinate others on my team to review the countless reems of data to prove .... what he challenged us all, g6 different site leaders, to explain does not exist.  We all came to the same conclusion.

We built a talk sheet so I could easily hit the high points and post the links to the data sources in the call.

Then 15mins before the meeting to discuss non existant data.. he cancels it.

Then .... the Ops Director's designee cancels that presentation meeting.  Which had never had a scheduled time. Just "Friday".

Both are being rescheduled for next week.

While... I am on vacation. I fly Sunday. We are closing on the sale of our house on Friday of next week.  We sign on Friday. The buyers sign and the sale funds on the following Monday.

While I am out my direct boss, my client boss, the Ops director, and my customer GM have a meeting.....  My #2 is freaking out.

My gut is going to be in knots all week.

This sucks.  DW is upset about selling her house.  This is the one she fell in love with, worked with a decorator to furnish, etc... and wanted to be our forever home.  So next week I will be working with very fragile DW and will no doubt have to be patient through several melt downs.

Then.... What will I come back to? ...... That..... is the question.

Job or no job.

We shall see.
