OT: Neighbor Annoying AF
My neighbor is an annoying sh-t
He lets his dog play right in front of my windows so i frequently see and hear the dog toys being thrown against my window or in front of the wall by my window which is noisy in addition to hearing his dog heavily panting
there are multiple grassy dog areas that are designated for pets that are very close nearby 1-2 minutes walking distance
I am at my wits end with this a$$cruncher and don't know what to do.
what would y'all do?

He may be doing this to her your attention. Do you have a dog whistle?

Hmm...Is he TRYING to get your attention?
I might ask if he can please do you a favor and refrain from throwing Scruffy's toys at your window or walls. Some people are just oblivious; others just don't care. Hopefully, he is #1. You might get the message across better if you pet the dog as you're talking.... "Scruffy's so cute!" You never know--the conversation could turn to the place that's a short walk away!
Find something that the dog
Find something that the dog does not like. Do that.
We had a neighbor whose dog would dig under our fence. I did not want to spend $hundreds to put metal edging along the fence or lining my side with bricks or pavers. So... I went to a warehouse club and bought several restaurant sized containers of cayenne pepper and ... end of problem. It did not harm the dog. He just did not like a burning nose and eyes so stopped digging under the fence. A couple of days of sneezing and rubbing his face on his paws and all over the grass on his yard far from the fence.
He and I were buddies. He and our parrot were buddies. Our bird learned to bark from him. We would watch him occasionally when the neighbors went on vacation. He moved into our yard and he and the parrot would play with each other through the big glass window leading to the patio and SS would have a blast with the dog.
No harm, no foul and I did not have to keep refilling holes and putting sod patches in the neighbor dog's excavations.
There are dog repellants that
There are dog repellants that you can purchase, but it would just confuse the dog since dumbo owner would be throwing his toy toward the bad smell. I'd be more apt to spray something like that on the person ;)
I wish I had done that
I wish I had done that instead of seeding the fence line with cayenne. Pepper spray on the owner would have been a far more just consequence though likel ywould have gotten me arrested.
