my SDs' curfews and bed times
SD9 has to come home before 9:30 during the summer, and goes to sleep at half past 11.
SD15 has to come home before 3 in the morning and goes to sleep when she feels like it. Or doesnt sleep at all :jawdrop: .
SD18 has no curfew or bedtime.
I guess thats why they are the way they are.
Tho i was surprised to hear that most of you think SD9 shouldnt be out at all?
But yeah, this was my reason to worry about SDs waking up and disturbing the baby. :?

Their parents. though i've
Their parents. though i've noticed it's not that unusual. but i still wouldn't allow my kid to live like that. but idk.. i see loads of kids their age out at those times.
it's not really about being dead because that's not the first possibility, my worry is who are they going to start hanging out with if they're out at that time... :?
well this is true and that's
well this is true and that's sad but i had to chuckle at it..
Oh, we have a curfew until 11
Oh, we have a curfew until 11 pm but no one enforces it. if they see an underage kid outside at that time, if it's a small kid they send it home, and if it's a teen they just tell them to behave.
In bed by 9:30? well i actually think that's good. it gives them more time to sleep and less time to waste on computers, tv, and wandering around.
Ah, there are rules but the people in general things that children should be out because it's better than being online. which is ok in a way. but then again, there are times for being out. and middle of the night is NOT it.
but yeah, it's considered good in general if kids go out and roam freely because people think it gives them a childhood like they had. now if someone told them it's not the same walking around a village where everyone is cousins and around a town full of drunk drugged teenagers.. but eh
In some countries dinner
In some countries dinner isn't served until 9 or 10 pm. That changes everything.
When I worked back and forth between London and San Francisco the UK people could not believe that we went to lunch at 11:30. Lunch was more like 2 pm there.
yeah. we usually have dinner
yeah.
we usually have dinner at about 9:30. lunch is at 3pm usually. or sometimes even later, because of work.
i wouldnt allow it, of
i wouldnt allow it, of course. i'd be too afraid. i'd only let her be around the house maybe at that time. but i'm not asked about it..
eh, it's become usual. many kids that age out at that time. i think it's terrible, but.. :?
^^^ditto where is the 9 year
^^^ditto where is the 9 year old out at??? following your story Im curious as to where you live and if you are korean (because of the not wanting a fan in the babies room issue, I heard koreans are big time superstitious about that)also your DH seems very disengaged with the girls himself, they have their own floor come and go as they please....?
i'm not korean. well the fan
i'm not korean.
well the fan thing is believed to be an actual health threat.. i'm not sure about it honestly.
he is rather disengaged except with the 9year old. he says they're mature kids and don't need a helicopter circling above them :?
