More on ss13 trying to hang with DD12's friends
Friday I told dh that we needed to nip this whole issue in the bud. SS was not to be tagging along with DD and her girl friends. Even id his GF was inviting him. Dh told SS that he could make his own plans with his gf but he was not to infringe in his step sister's plans.
Dd12 had a mall date with he three other girls from school. After dropping dd off, dd's BFF texted me saying tht SS was invited. I thanked her and let her know that ss's dad wanted him to hang out w the boys but thanks for the invite.
Today we brought dd's BFF with us for a family outing. We are back at the house and SS is downstairs watching tv with dd and her friend. SS and dd never spend time together. They ignire each other - basically despise each other - unless dd has frids over.
I want to tell him to go upstairs.
I want to tell him to leave the girls alone.
I don't want to be a nag and I don't want to be a problem.
I don't want "issues" to develop.
Iiiuuhgh!!!!!

What does your daughter
What does your daughter think? Maybe your SS has a crush on the girls. Maybe your DH has to find other things to occupy him while the girls are there. Take him out for guy-time or something. Basically, his hormones are showing. And he should not be encouraged to even THINK about having a girlfriend @ 13.
But if his girlfriend is one of DDs friends you can't tell him he cannot hang out with her because you already have allowed the whole girlfriend-thing.
The sad thing is he will eventually make a fool of himself or embarrass himself and he will have to live with the consequences.
I have a feeling the BFF is
I have a feeling the BFF is using your daughter to get to SS.
I'm at her age, her parents would not agree to her spending a lt of time with her boyfriend. Your daughter is the perfect cover to get around that
It may be time for all of the kids to expand their circle of friends.
