I think BM tried to pull a fast one...

DF got the following from BM:

Hey DF,

SD9 had her pictures taken for school and she brought home the package with all the pics in it. I had her turn it back into the school. She says that you told her she could give out the remaining pics to her friends. Those pictures have to be paid for. I need you to send me a check for the pictures. The school says you owe 72.14.

DF and I were not sure what BM was talking about. It was true that SD9 brought home pictures from school and we had the option to purchase some. But DF and I decided to buy them online with a promo code. We sent the pictures back to school with her.

The funny thing is BM is insisting that DF needs to send the check to her. We think that she probably paid the money because the pictures were lost at her house. Now, she is trying to get DF to pay for them. DF told her that we bought our pictures online and we aren't sending her a dime. Its funny, we can never reach her when we want to talk to the SDs but she is burning up our phones over this money.

If BM sent the pics back to the school, then why is any money owed and how did the skid give them out to friends.

Our area does the spring pics too...buy just the sheets you want. This year it is money up front bc of all the ppl ripping them off.

BM always tries to get SO to give her money directly. ALWAYS for any little thing, $7 here $10 there.
He sends the money with the children to the school. I say he should walk it into school when he drops them off. Or make a check to the school.

So pick up the phone and call the school and simply ask 'what's going on'. If the pictures never actually made it back to school or SD indeed handed all the photos out to friends ('here, friend, have a 8x11 of me', 'Yes, friend #2 you can have the 5x7' :? ) somebody, whether BM and/or SD has some serious explaining to do.

As you purchased online, perhaps they sent a separate package for a potential buy from BM? Whatever happened, you can bet if the school wanted money or had a question over missing pictures the letter would have came to your DH not BM.
