Did SD13 steal my bracelet???
About a month ago, I caught my SD13 stealing LOTS of quarters out of my husband's poker change cup.
She lies like a liar out her lying hole ALL THE TIME.
So when my Pandora Bracelet went missing a couple of weeks ago, I automatically started to worry that SD had taken it.
I don't like many material things but I love my Pandora Bracelet, not because it was expensive and took me a couple of years to collect all the beads and fill it up, but because every birthday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, whatever, my husband would get me a bead. So it was very sentimental.
SD has asked for a Pandora Bracelet of her own several times. She got that pouty/hateful look on her face every time her dad got me a new bead, especially when he just surprised me with one on a non-special day "just because he loves me )
So anyway, my Pandora Bracelet went missing and I tore the house up looking for it. I usually kept it in a ceramic container on the hutch in the dining room. I looked on that hutch a zillion times and sweet DD21 looked there multiple times too. I tore my bedroom upside down. I packed up the WHOLE hutch and moved it to look under. Same with stuff in my bedroom (which is the only other place it could be.) We looked in couch cushions and under chairs...everywhere. No Pandora Bracelet.
By this time it was a BIG deal. DH and I had started squabbling a little bit because I suspected SD. He asked SD and SD said she hadn't seen it. Case closed. Princess would never lie out her lying hole. Never.
I made it a point to say out loud I was going to report it stolen so they would investigate (yeah right). DD and I made a huge deal out of it in front of SD. And guess what? Lo and behold, the Pandora Bracelet appears on the hutch, right where I've looked extensively at least a dozen times.
Silly me. I must have overlooked it. But regardless, I will never leave it or anything else of value within her sight or reach again. Thank GOD I don't have to live with her much longer.
Oh the joys of living with a un-raised heathen of a stepchild.

Well, that's pretty obvious.
Well, that's pretty obvious.
SO bought me a Pandora bracelet but only after he got SD one. Because every 11yr old should have something so expensive. She wore it to BM's house and BM took it from her. I wonder why, I guess BM now has a nice Pandora bracelet.
Yeah, we have an especially
Yeah, we have an especially haunted house with a very active "ghost" that we blame for these kinds of things... :?
>And I'll bet she returned it
>And I'll bet she returned it when she realized that duh - she wouldn't be able to actually wear it<
^THIS!^

yeah, I was wondering the same thing, what did DH say?

I texted him and told him I'd found it on the hutch even though my daughter and I had both looked in that very spot several times. But suddenly, miraculously it appeared! Couldn't imagine how we'd both missed it, especially since we'd looked there repeatedly but hey...who am I to question?
He replied, "lol glad you found it."
And that was it!!! Can you believe the idiocy of these men sometimes?!?
She has a girlfriend (she is
She has a girlfriend (she is a lesbian) so I suspect she gave it to her and then had to get it back.
This happened at my house
This happened at my house with DS wallet. It went missing. Quizzing all the kids, including DS, and YSS was the one with the hugely suspicious reaction. He's usually pretty good at telling careful truths so we must have caught him off guard.
I tore apart DS room in case it was misplaced (since this was a distinct possibility). Nothing.
I went to look in his room two days later and the wallet was inside a box, right on top. A box I had looked in and dug through twice already.
DH believes DS found it and put it there because he didn't want to admit he's lost it. I believe YSS took it to BMs but DH told BM about it and even she wouldn't think that was right, got YSS to confess, but then let him sneak it into the house. (She's "snuck in" their late homework into the teachers mailboxes at school so it's not like there isn't precedence.)
Given that YSS can't seem to keep his hands off stuff even if it doesn't go missing, he is usually the one under suspicion.
While you don't have proof, it's really a "duh" situation.
LMAO no objection at all:)
