I'm kind of freaking out here...

Okay so I find out BM is in a new relationship. (She is still married to the guy she married in November 2014, but whatever).

So I'm nosey and check out his FB profile. He lives in the same city as me. Like 1 mile from where I live. In my sister's old neighborhood. The one she lived in for years and just recently moved from. The one we are still going to for trick or treat this year.

Yeah I'm freaking out a bit. This is just too close for comfort. Like way too close.

He also has 2 daughters. In the age range of 8-11??? So that should be interesting.

He's 7 years younger then BM.

Seems he's been in some trouble recently with the law and creditors. Drug paraphernalia and DUI.

And he has a unibrow that very much resembles the one on this link but worse. If that is even possible.

Okay but back to the part where he lives 1 mile from me... Ugh... this has me so stressed out thinking about running into her.

Asshat and I lived less than a mile away from each other in a town of 20,000.

I ran into him twice in 14 years. Twice!! The ONLY time I ever saw him was at Thing1's games, and we gave each other a wide, wide berth Smile

Ok, but seriously... that sucks that he lives so close to you! How far away does BM live? At any rate, sure the love fest won't last long, given BM track record and skids will surely be embarrassed of caterpillar man!

Biggrin I once had a ring with amethysts and emeralds. The amethysts were the flower petals and the emeralds were the stalk and leaves.

They don't live together. He just lives in my city. But if she's visiting him I'm worried about running into her. I'm always out and about in that area. Just the thought. Ugh.

Try not to stress about it, there's a good chance you will never run into her.

I mean, I live next door to my neighbors (obviously) but in fifteen years I have run into them while out and about, zero times. Okay, maybe once.

Do you live in an area that is well populated, with a lot of grocery stores, restaurants, etc.? Because where I live, one mile would mean going to completely different places.

You're right.

I had posted about running into YSD not too long ago at my local Wal-Mart. It freaked me out a bit because I in no way expected to see her there or would it logically make sense for her to be there. So I guess that is why I'm a little on edge.

This week I have accepted that it doesn't matter how different you think your steplife is from the next stepmom, we will all go through a period where BM will live too close for comfort. Today BM moves less than a mile from our home. She used to live in the next town over but had to relocate because of the flood. She is now in the same school district (potential for court) and lives off the same main road we do (there is only one road to the north of town, we live a little further north than she does). I started hyperventilating when I found out. I hate this. I need to accept it because BM is insinuating to DH that she bought the house but I looked it up and its listed as a rental. My only hope is that her new boyfriend of the month finds out what a narcissist nutbag she is and leaves so she cant afford the rent anymore. I feel your anxiety Zero.

That really does suck.

BM once moved a little too close for comfort with her fourth(?) husband but SD was an adult by then so it didn't affect us (and I never saw her). They split up before too long and she moved back to her neck of the woods.

I do get it, Zero, it does feel like an invasion, of sorts.

We're about 10 miles from BioHo. This no longer seems to be far enough as I saw Mr. Pinhead and Spawn about 6 months ago (pulled my cowboy hair REALLY low) and 'Ho and Mr. Pinhead 3 weeks ago. :sick: Thankfully, they were too busy arguing to notice me.

I'm actually really surprised that not only is she still married to her husband#2 but she has managed to score herself a boyfriend while married. I mean this woman is like :sick:

We live less than 2 miles from BM and the SS's and all of BM's family. We live in a very very small town.
I rarely ever see BM or her family. The only town of any size is 15 miles away and I probably accidentally run into BM
more there then I ever have here in our small town.
