O/T Seems Only the Good Die Young. ..

thinkthrice's picture

Went to the funeral of a co-worker today. Young family man, always cheerful, responsible, jovial--same age as my oldest daughter--35.

On his way home from work he was side swiped by a 41 year old woman who ran the stop sign. Claimed she didn't see it. Fortunately she is extremely remorseful.

This guy was a correctional officer but always kept light hearted about his job. The funeral itself was beautiful and the talk given by his young widow was heart breaking. He left two young daughters, 6 and 2 years of age.

He will be missed.

I'm sorry, think thrice. I just had a friend from HS pass away. Although he had struggled with drugs and alcohol, he had finally gotten clean. He was always friendly to me. They still don't know how he died. He left three little ones behind.

Yet BM, the perpetual mean girl bully, lives on.
