The flu
So I got the dreaded flu.
The swab came back negative but the doctor yesterday told me it was probably a false negative.
I tried to tough it out the first couple days at home but finally went to my boyfriends because I couldn’t even let my dog out without nearly fainting. Day 5 and still a low grade fever.
He has been great, sat with me in the hospital yesterday while I got IV fluids, a chest X-ray and blood work. They wanted to test for Lyme too since my counts were so low. One test after another; it was a long day.
I sweat through my pajamas twice last night. I really hope this lets up soon.
Anyone ever get the flu? How long did it last? I had no idea it was this awful.
His kid comes home tonight so I’ll head back home, although it was nice being taken care of for a couple days.

My 88 yo dad had it. Now in week 3 and he can barely get out of bed. This is a man who walked miles each day prior. Hope you get better but this flu is bad
His kid can stay with her
His kid can stay with her mother. You have a servere illness and you need him. If he allows his child wanting to come over and you have to leave he is not a good man. A good man will care for you when you are sick.

The guy is also a father. A father that has full custody of his son. A custodial parent can not force a NCP to keep the kid.
I must have missed the part
I must have missed the part where she complained about any of that. :?
Bm can keep her brat till his
Bm can keep her brat till his girlfriend feels better. This kid doesn't need to be exposed to the germs while she is healing and he needs to care for her.
No he does not, they've been
No he does not, they've been dating for 2 months only, they do not live together nothing....
Yes he should not bring his brat around, but no need for him to care for her, AJ is a strong girl and can look after herself

Keep hydrated, lots of fluids.
And the sweating is good! It’s your body burning up and expelling the crap.
Buddy - get yourself some
Buddy - get yourself some ginger brandy and well drink it luke warm, then crawl into your bed with a heap of blankets and sweat it all out,
Keep the head ache pills and bottles of water on your night stand...
The sweats continued last
The sweats continued last night but today I woke up without a fever. Hoping that’s a good sign. This has been awful.
It would have been nice if he let the kid stay with mom and took care of me but oh well. I wouldn’t really expect otherwise.
Thanks for the well wishes
AJ - no no no you will not
AJ - no no no you will not depend on a guy ever again Hon, next time let me know if you are feeling blue, I will get a skype account and cheer you on, cause if I should get a flight you will be fine by the time my plane lands.....
Keep weel hon, and never depend on a guy again, it's simply not worth it, keep in mind when he gets the flu you do not go near him...
Glad you are feeling a bit
Glad you are feeling a bit better. I think that it was nice of him to take care of you when you needed it. Now you can be a bit more self sufficient...so you should be.
It's really soon to expect him to drop everything for an extended period of time. Shoot... you may find that you don't want to continue dating him and don't want a huge obligation over your head.
