I'm new and don't know the lingo

Can someone please let me know what things like "DH" "skids" (although I think I know that one) and others are. I'm reading posts and I don't understand "BF" and such. I think Best friend, boyfriend...etc. Or DH to me means designated hitter! HA!

So if you all could help a sister out, that would rock.

I will tell you the ones I know, DH (Divorced husband, some say Dear husband), BF (boyfriend), BM (biological mom), SM (Stepmom), skids (stepkids), SS (stepson), SD (stepdaughter, BD (Biological daughter), BS (biological son), SO (significant other). Those are the main ones, if I can think of any others, I will post them.
