My BD makes me proud in the face of SD's B.S.
My daughter (age 26) just called me to tell me she decided that she will send an invitation to her wedding to estranged SD (age 21). I am so proud of her. They were always close since the time they were little, but SD cut her and I off last year with a really rude and unexpected text message. SD was mad at my parents for reportedly not paying her enough attention on the family reunion vacation they invited her to (and paid all for). We don't really know why just my daughter and I were cut off because she is too cowardly to give an adult explanation. We assume it was the work of her very nasty mother, who has threatened to turn her against us since she was young. no one understands why.
But my own child, what a classy lady. I am so proud of her.
Well that's nice that you are
Well that's nice that you are proud of her - but I don't really think she made the best choice. Why include any assholes in her wedding? It's really not necessary.
When an asshole cuts you off to me the classy thing to do is to just go on with your life and ignore said asshole.
Why bother. SD might show up
Why bother. SD might show up and be a biggest bi*ch in the room and take away all the attention that your daughter deserve...not a good idea. SD is the one chose not to have a relationship then let it be. You know your daughter and your daughter knows herself and that's enough. Screw the SD
Congratulation to you and your daughter

Those are good points (about possible drama). We doubt she will actually come, she's moving to the west coast soon, but it is possible. I guess my hubby will need to be in strong charge of SD. Just in case.
