It's Almost Funny Sometimes...

I posted last week about sd11 being mean to my animals. Well, this week she was much better. I think dh must have had a talk with her before I got home. The only thing I saw she did to my dog this weekend was throw a bit of soapy water on him while she was washing the truck, and later on she poured a little bit of soda on his head. (My pup is such a good sport. He just tried to lick it all off. I gave her a look over the soap and cleaned it off him myself.)

Lately, my husband has been mildly complaining that my chickens are digging holes in the yard and causing it to be bumpy when he's riding his lawn mower. He's fussing but nothing serious...just thinking about putting up another fence so they'll be contained in only part of the yard. So sd11 hears this and Sunday she's walking across the yard and stepping in these shallow chicken holes and acting like they're making her fall...lol. Seriously. She's crying out like a Victorian Lady about to swoon over the big bad chicken holes in the yard.

Anything to make a scene. She's trying to get my husband to come to her rescue and get rid of my chickens, simply because they're mine. At least this one of her shenanigans was mildly amusing.

My puppy jumped on sd11 a few weeks ago and she literally screamed worse than a toddler. I know this because he had jumped on my toddler granddaughter the day before and made a scratch mark on her face and the toddler didn't scream nearly so loud and long. (Needless to say, my puppy is now trained NOT to jump on people.)

It is so much better than hitting him and otherwise causing him to yelp like she did last weekend. But you all are right. I shouldn't be so satisfied with "only a little bit bad." Gotta start learning to deal with her directly. Working on that.
