Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team
I like this: "But I do know
I like this: "But I do know that as a parent, it begins with me. I set the limits." It truly does begin with the parents.
When parents do not do that, their kids will suffer. They have a struggle overcoming it. Many do not. It's very sad.
I see so many kids at my SDs school who are acting out. It sure doesn't help them that they are getting little to no guidance at home. While they do see kids get in trouble with teachers, teachers and school staff can only do so much. I feel for teachers, but that's for another blog.
I thought it was kind of
I thought it was kind of ridiculous. The author writes that they are in a comfortable money situation and when they have a bad day can afford to go buy a special treat.
Doesn't that contribute to a whiney brat? JMO
