So I had to work all day yesterday... 11-11...

The original plan was for DH to take SD back to BMs early yesterday afternoon for Mother's Day. No big deal.

I get home from work, and start catching up with DH on the day. I ask him "what time did you take SD home?". He doesn't answer, just whistles and I hear SD open her door and she comes running down the stairs and gives me a huge hug! DH said that BM texted him earlier in the day asking us to keep SD overnight. I couldn't be happier. SD wanted to stay up late to see me when I got home (she went to bed immediately thereafter).

Got to spend a lovely morning relaxing with DH & SD before we had to take her home.

When leaving SDs BMs house SD ran after me and gave me the cutest Mother's Day gift, some paper flowers & hearts... On the heart it said "To: Mom From: SD" (BM got one too). It melted my heart.

What a great way to cap off my "first" Mothers Day as a SM.
