Have you seen the movie "Pacific Heights"? Melanie Griffith, Matthew Modine and Michael Keaton? The trailer is here, but it doesn't get the the heart of the movie

The storyline goes that a very good tenant on paper turns into a nightmare, and no matter what the nice couple do to get him out, he is one step ahead. The apartment is in a large Victorian/Queen Anne style home and the landlord, as well as another tenant occupy the other two units. Keaton also calls the police after faking an injury that he claims the landlord , Modine, did, forcing Modine out of the house and having Keaton alone in the home with Griffith. He is very sneaky in what he does.. puts a cockroach farm in the home and claims it unsafe, rips out all the fixtures - sinks etc after the landlord worked their asses off to refurbish the place... it goes on and on...

What I am getting at is that the law and those around think the nice couple are really the bad guys, and the horrible tenant just plays this scenario out like a fiddle....

The BM of our skid is at it again with her stunts and I cannot disengage because the skid is absolutely desperate for DH and I to get him away from her. But it isn't easy to prove child abuse. It isn't easy to prove harassment in NJ due to the ambiguity of the law and the way BM goes about her little game...

Anyone else feel like they are living Pacific Heights, but instead of a house, the child is on the line? Anyone love their skid and feel helpless to his abuse at the hands of his BM?
