ss told his friends he wants to kill his father

I am new here and I need advice. My 6 year old ss told his friends that he plans to kill his father and burn our house down. My husband was disappointed to hear about what ss said. The only problem I have had with him prior to this is lying and stubbornness. I want to help this boy but sometimes I just don't like him and I fear that he can sense it and maybe that is why he acts up. What to do?

yikes!!! has he ever played with matches? I would take this very seriously and bring him to see a counselor ASAP. I would also monitor him around matches, knives etc. can't be too careful...

I don't let him into the kitchen. Ever. It doesn't really make sense because he has always seemed to adore his father. He even tries to hog his attention.

My guess is he was mad because he didn't get something he wants. His BM died but he is very close to his maternal gm and aunties.

He's only 6 and is saying those things? He needs serious professional help like yesterday!

And all your DH has is he is DISAPPOINTED?? What the heck would put an idea like that into a 6 year old's head in the first place??

And what does his father say about this? He and BM (if she is in the picture) need to get this kid help, intense professional help, ASAP.

And if your DH does not get this kid help, the best solution may be for you to pack your bags and leave.

we have a son together and DH is a great husband and father. SS was just spoiled rotten by his GM.

Scary!! My fiancé’s daughter( 7) wrote in her DS that she wanted to kill her mother. And this is why we had the children in counseling, and on medication when we had them, but BM doesn't believe that her babies need that kind of treatment. Poor kids it's truely horrible. You are in a very bad situation with the SS, and I hope his father gets him help there is a lot going on apparently with this little boy.
