WTF is Ingress.....

SD9 has informed me that she rides around in the car while BM plays her game Ingress. I asked what that was (I am not a video game fan). SD9 tells me it is video game you play on a cell phone and you drive around "hacking and capturing portals." There is a blue team and green team and mom is on the blue team, "the smurfs" and her ex secret financee was on the green team, "the turtles"

Ok, so all I can figure out about Ingress online is that it is some big secret game/society and you have to be invited by Google to play. It is also a great excuse to drive around eating fast food while capturing portals (must be true as BM had two trash bags on her patio filled with fast food sacks and cups)
and a great reason to get arrested for suspicious activity while lingering around waiting on your portal to be captured!

Anyone ever heard of Ingress?

Sounds like some BS that BM invented to have a reason to follow her BF around and stalk him.

No, but it is not uncommon to see Android-device video games that use your actual geographic location (as determined by GPS) as part of it's setting and game-play. I can try and find out more for you if you like. I highly doubt it is as "secret game/society". More likely, if you are invited to play, you and the person who invited you will get some bonus to the game if you do decide to join.

Let me clarify secret, from what I read you don't want people to know you play because they could
Hack you and capture your portals!

That absolutely sounds so ridiculous "hack and capture portals" that I caught myself laughing out loud when I typed it! LOL

Ummmm, with gas at $3.00/gallon this seems like a huge waste of CS. }:)
