Hi everyone, I have lurked around a bit today - you all sound like a great group of people.

I was wondering if anyone has had a positive experience with a contested step parent adoption?

Although it scares me to take on the financial burden of going back to court again, we feel that it is really important to solidify my child's relationship. Does anyone worry about what would happen to your child if something happened to you? My ex does not have any allowed access - all terminated through the court, CS is sporadic and is collected through the state. I could care less about receiving another CS dime for the rest of my life!!!
