mediation

My SO went to mediation he said it went well, he tried to explain his reasons for a detailed plan mediator said "oh I understand"
BM and SO agreed on holiday schedule and to 50/50 week on week off, the rest the mediator said he'd write his own and get back to them. Now he sends an email a week later saying they agreed to BM very vague custody agreement with changes to the holiday schedule.
SO did not agree he will be screwed as the visitation in her plan is "at her discretion" and details nothing on times pick up medical care etc. So since he doesn't agree even though the mediator says they did, now what? SO doesn't have a lawyer or money and he paused this mediator acted like he agreed that the detailed plan was good with some tweaking and then screws it all up. How should SO respond to the mediator, and BM lawyer?

Assuming it goes down like DH's does (saw mediator, both parties unrepresented), then the report will then be discussed in court during their next hearing. They can then agree/ disagree with the mediator's report and the judge can make a permanent order.

They should each get a chance to mention what they would like changed. He should arrive at court with the language he would like added and/or issues he'd like addressed and/or changed.
