I could not, would not be able to handle his kid at all EVER if he wasn't so supportive.

My exh was a pain in the ass!!! He would go to the extent of asking his daughter why she made him look bad in front of me after he defended her!!!!!
I think because I have been in the worst ( bd getting yelled at, at 3, because step daughter closed her hand in the door. Dad of both girls .. His reason.. 3 yr old should not have been following her 12 yr old sister!!!) I would RUN if SO didn't back me. In fact he is so good .. We were getting ready to go to the pool and she smarted off to me. She and SO stayed home, me and bios went to the pool
Mine is not too bad either,
Mine is not too bad either, most of the times. He came a long way though. At the beginning SD 7 was a mini-wife-princess who was out of line with who she thought she was and should be entitled to.EG thinking it was ok to join into every adult conversation as if she was one, disturbing us in our bedroom at night or dragging him out of there in the earliest morning hours (4.30 am)to play games or do craft with her. Her dad was her property and she gave him orders, it was all about her.To a point that I felt there was no emotional room for me or us to exist when she was around. And I started of course resenting her for getting away with it so much.
SO actually listened, which was a blessing for our rs.He started putting in stricter rules for her, he started also treating her more like a child and best of all, she got banned from our bedroom at night.I know it was hard for him since he was and is overprotective with her, so I am really grateful that he understood. With his child running the show like that there would have been no chance of developing a normal adult rs.
Now we are all much better, SD ist mostly ok to have around , though she has her moments like my kids have, and I feel better and safer being with SO when she is around.
