Step-Daughter gets away with more than my biological daughter. Not fair
Forums:
There are so many issues, but the one thing I do notice, is my step daughter gets away with more than my biological daughter. When it comes to eating veggies, cleaing up her clothes/toys, lying, etc. I feel like when IM frustrated about the situation, I take it out on my poor daughter, because I feel more comfortable disicpling her. Both of our girls lie, but when my daughter lies, my boyfriend makes such a big deal and calls her a lyer to my face, but when his daughter lies, he kind of brushes it off and just says"Dont do that!" What do I do to fix this situation??? Its causing fights between us because we are both sticking up for our girls and were not meeting in the middle and having each others backs.
Not sure if they are a way of
Not sure if they are a way of "fixing it". I have the same issue...my daughter is 14 and my husbands daughter is 12. Mine does everything wrong and his does nothing wrong. Even we know they both did the same thing...well he has an excuse why she did it/or makes some kinda of craxy reasoning in his head so he doesn't have to punish her. Wait...let me correct myself...She NEVER get punish, she just smiles and talks all babyfied and blinks her blue eyes at her daddy and he just melts in his hand. On the other hand my daughter, not only admits to what she has done but take the punishment and he doesn't mind to give her one. But, I tell my daughter at least your not a buttkisser or a fake!! You can try to talk to your boyfriend, some guys can reason with you about "all" the kids, but some can't. But, you do need to go ahead and let him know how you feel. Good luck!!
Oh lord - I read the title
Oh lord - I read the title and thought I posted this!! LOL My SD14 is the pricess and BD12 is just, well........not!! I hold my BD responsible for things; I check up on her cell phone calls; fbook friends; I want to know what she is doing........well let me tell you - I BETTER not do that with SD!!
This is why I have taken a HUGE step back (SD lives w/ us) I am a friend for SD and I give advice if DH asks; I have given occasional rides (not much) but as for that.....for me it's
"Go ask your dad" I make sure my BD isn't getting the short end of the stick all the time; I pick my battles when I have to but besides that........I am not sure how old your's are but when they get older the sad part is they start to notice. The SK and the BK both now this!
